The Adelaide Roots and Blues Association (ARBA) was formed in Adelaide, South Australia in 2013 and was incorporated on the 4th of December, 2014. It has not-for-profit status and the following broad aims:

  • To support and promote South Australian roots and blues artists locally, nationally and internationally 
  • To promote and foster a wider appreciation of roots and blues music

One of South Australia’s gem stones of  musicianship, and embracing a strong  sense of community, Chris Finnen is often  referred to as the ‘guitarist’s guitarist’.  Chris is proud to be the patron of the  Adelaide Roots and Blues Association.

2025 ARBA Memphis Blues Challenge Entries Now Open!
 
This is your chance to compete for a place at The 2026 International Blues Challenge in Memphis! 

Places are limited. Should the number of acts exceed the limit in each category, entrance into the Challenge will be determined by the order that entry applications were received in each category.
 
Key Dates
Heat one: Saturday 21st June (Norwood Live)
Heat two: Saturday 28th June (Norwood Live)
Final: Saturday 9th August (Norwood Live)
Fundraiser: Sunday 31st August (Semaphore Workers Club)
International Blues Challenge: January 2026 (Beale St Memphis, Tennessee)
 
 
Entries close 7th of February
