Chris Finnen's 70th Birthday Show
A captivated full house attended the ARBA Presents Chris Finnen's 70th Birthday Show at the fabulous Wheatsheaf Hotel last Saturday night!
Chris Finnen celebrated his 70th birthday in style as he was joined onstage by Josh and Tim Bennett, Gunther Faber and Trapper Draper during this special one-off gig. It truly was an evening of incredible music that will be long remembered by all who attended!
Thanks to Ria Monique Loof and everybody at The Wheaty, Greg Naulty for organising the show, Stephen von der Borch for acting as MC and taking the photos, Peter Ferguson for running the merch and the ARBA committee.
Special thanks to all who supported this gig by attending and all of the 370 members of ARBA, without whom this gig would not have been possible.

Defying recent high incidence of flight delays and cancellations as well as baggage handling mishaps, all 8 of our musicians have arrived safely in Memphis with their instruments unharmed!
Frankie & Savva and The Honey Badgers have both played their warm-up sets at the 2023 IBC International Showcase at Blues City Café on Beale St, Memphis. Both acts enjoyed the chance to blow out some cobwebs and play an hour long set to an appreciative local audience. Be sure to check our Facebook page for more photos and videos.
The quarter finals start Wednesday in Memphis (Thursday morning Adelaide time). Bring it on!
International Blues Challenge Schedule
Quarter-Finals
(all acts play a judged 25 minute set with the top 4 acts from each venue proceeding to the semi-finals)

(semi-finalists each play a judged 30 minute set, with the top act from each venue proceeding to the finals)

(finalists each play a judged 20 minute set to determine the winners in the band and solo duo divisions of the 2023 International Blues Challenge)
